Im Erminia Apolnario i live in New York and i sing traditional music of Afro- Brazil , been singing with Jorge Amorin and Tribo, Ologunde, Lagbja Drummers ,Fuja Dance Troup Congo,Retumba conPie and now im venturing in my own with Ago_Odara Band. Been born in Brazil with the tradition of Congada, Ticumbi ,and a lot of Samba my roots runs deep in Sao Mateus home of the Cricare River with its hidden port between, south of Bahia and north of Rio.I was raised with the music of Jorge Ben, Paulinho da Viola,Jovelina Perola Negra, Clementina de Jesus, Elis Regina,My mother Dna Quita, Coral da Fundacao ,Cartola, Jackson do Pandeiro, Nana Vasconcelos ,The pulsating rythms of the Samba Schools back in Brasil.
